Environmental Initiatives
| 1. Research on Environmental Sustainability and Food Security
As part of its social responsibility initiatives, Bank Albilad supported the Environmental Sustainability Research Chair in collaboration with King Faisal University in Al-Ahsa. The initiative aimed to enrich scientific content and support the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030. It benefited over 3,000 individuals, including university students, agricultural business owners, and research scholars.
| 2. “Depth on Us" Initiative – JeddahAn environmental volunteer initiative aimed at cleaning the depths of the new Jeddah waterfront. It included a six-month deep-sea effort involving 60 divers, resulting in the removal of approximately 5,130 kg of hazardous waste threatening marine life.
| 3. Al-Suda Park Cleaning InitiativeAs part of its social responsibility efforts, Bank Albilad organized a park cleaning campaign in Al-Suda. The initiative aimed to raise awareness about the importance of environmental preservation and involved 85 male and female volunteers from the Bank's ambassador team.
| 4. Ablution Water Initiative for AfforestationBank Albilad launched an innovative initiative to use ablution (grey) water for tree irrigation. This project was implemented in collaboration with Yusr, the Desert Plants Cooperative Society, and Sama, contributing to sustainable afforestation efforts.
| 5. Participation in the Worldwide Earth Hour MovementBank Albilad participated in the Worldwide Earth Hour campaign, reinforcing its role in raising awareness about climate change and the importance of reducing harmful carbon emissions.
| 6. Adoption of Clean Solar EnergyBank Albilad adopted a solar energy system at its General Administration Building—Albilad Tower in Riyadh—covering an area of 1,743 sqm. This initiative promotes renewable energy and reduces environmental impact, saving over 80,000 liters of fuel annually and decreasing CO₂ emissions by 194 tons, as well as nitrogen and sulfur oxides by 1,872 kilograms annually.
| 7. Support for Afforestation Initiatives and SeminarsBank Albilad supported various afforestation initiatives and educational seminars aimed at increasing environmental awareness and promoting vegetation cover development.
| 8. Wadi Al-Qurainah Afforestation InitiativeIn alignment with the Saudi Green Initiative, the Bank's volunteer team planted over 3,000 trees in Wadi Al-Qurainah with the participation of 50 male and female volunteers.

Al Khobar Corniche Afforestation InitiativeSupporting the Saudi Green Initiative, Bank Albilad's volunteer team planted 4,000 seedlings at the Al Khobar Corniche with 80 volunteers, in cooperation with the Eastern Municipality, Al Khobar Municipality, the Eastern Green Initiative, and local environmental advocates.

10. Environmental Awareness Campaign – Rawdat Umm Al-ShuqoqBank Albilad organized a large-scale awareness campaign involving 1,500 volunteers from the Bank and other teams to promote environmental protection. They removed approximately 16,500 gallons and 300 bags of waste, 60% of which was recycled

11. Waste Recycling Initiative – General Administration TowerThe Bank launched a waste recycling program at its headquarters, successfully recycling 6,400 kg of waste as part of its efforts to preserve the environment
| 12. “Depth on Us" Initiative – Eastern RegionIn partnership with the Eastern Region Municipality, the Eastern Province Fisheries Wealth Center, and the Border Guard, Bank Albilad launched the "Depth on Us" initiative to remove over half a ton of waste from the Persian Gulf, protecting coral reefs and marine biodiversity.
| 13. National Volunteer Campaign – King Salman Wildlife ParkTo promote environmental preservation, Bank Albilad collaborated with Imata Charity, the Filipino Community Volunteer Team, and local schools to collect one ton of waste—70% of which was recycled—at King Salman Wildlife Park.
| 14. National Volunteer Campaign for Environmental Awareness – RiyadhBank Albilad launched an environmental awareness campaign in Huraymila Shuaib, Riyadh Region. With the participation of various volunteer teams, over 1,500 seedlings were planted and more than half a ton of environmental waste was removed.

Albilad Smart Tree-Planting initiative Bank Albilad Tree-Planting Initiative involves planting 5,000 smart trees across various regions of the Kingdom, as part of the Bank's efforts to support environmental sustainability and promote volunteerism, under the corporate social responsibility program #Albilad_Initiative.The planting activities began in collaboration with the Riyadh Municipality – represented by the North Riyadh Sector – and Netzero, with the participation of several volunteer teams.The initiative relies on documenting each planted tree to monitor its growth and measure its environmental impact, contributing to enhanced green cover and supporting environmental objectives in line with Saudi Vision 2030 and the Saudi Green Initiative.
| 16. Together for Greener Shores Initiativewas launched as part of Bank Albilad's efforts to support environmental sustainability and coastal protection under the #Albilad_Initiative CSR program. The initiative aims to plant 5,000 mangrove trees in the Red Sea Project, recognizing the vital role of mangroves in enhancing coastal vegetation, protecting shorelines, and supporting marine biodiversity.The initiative was implemented in partnership with Red Sea Global, Umluj Green Association, and with the participation of the National Center for Vegetation Cover Development and Combating Desertification, alongside school students and volunteers to raise environmental awareness and promote volunteer engagement.This initiative aligns with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 and the Saudi Green Initiative, reinforcing Bank Albilad's role in supporting sustainable environmental initiatives.

The Greywater Initiative in Prince Faisal Bin Fahad in Riyadh The Greywater Initiative was launched as part of Bank Albilad's efforts to support environmental sustainability and promote efficient use of natural resources under the #Albilad_Initiative CSR program. The initiative aims to reuse ablution water for irrigating green areas, contributing to water conservation and reducing wastage.The initiative was implemented at Prince Faisal bin Fahd Mosque in Riyadh, where greywater is utilized to irrigate surrounding trees and newly planted seedlings, enhancing green cover and improving the local environment.This initiative aligns with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 and environmental sustainability programs, reaffirming Bank Albilad's commitment to practical solutions with lasting environmental impact.
| 18. Saving Al Ghadah Park initiativeBank Albilad contributed to supporting the Al-Ghada Team by providing dedicated vehicles for the protection of Al-Ghada Tourist Park in Unaizah Governorate. The initiative was inaugurated under the patronage of His Excellency the Governor of Unaizah, Mr. Saad bin Abdullah Al-Saleem. | 1. Donation to the Jood Eskan Charity PlatformBank Albilad donated SAR 10 million to the Jood Eskan Charity Platform, enabling 5,250 families to own homes. This initiative aligns with the national housing goals and reflects the Bank's commitment to social responsibility.
| 2. Fathkrony ApplicationThe Fathkrony app, developed by Bank Albilad, has benefited over 2 million users. It offers a range of Islamic services, including the Holy Quran, prayer times, Qibla direction, daily supplications, a Hijri calendar, Ramadan schedules, and guidance for Hajj and Umrah. A unique feature allows users to schedule and track their Quran reading (Khatmah), along with an option to manually adjust the Hijri calendar.

"Saving is a Way of Life" InitiativeDesigned by certified academics and trainers, this initiative promotes financial literacy and savings culture among employees of selected government and private sector institutions. It includes three main tracks: personal savings, housing savings, and investment savings.
| 4. Entertainment Event for Children of the Martyrs of DutyBank Albilad sponsored an entertainment event during the 2016 Abha Summer Festival to honor the children of fallen heroes. The Bank invited a large group of children affiliated with the Families of Martyrs Association.

It covered key tracks including financial planning, fintech solutions, financial analytics, and financial education.The initiative resulted in the development of 27 innovative projects, supported by specialized workshops, expert consultations, and a professional judging process focused on feasibility, impact, and creativity. Bank Albilad redesigned one of its major branches to be fully equipped with accessible facilities for individuals with disabilities. This initiative ensures an inclusive environment where all customers can conduct their banking transactions with ease.
| 2. Adapting ATM Pathways for the Visually ImpairedThe Bank launched an initiative to make ATMs more accessible by adding tactile guiding pathways to assist visually impaired individuals in locating and using ATM services independently.
| 3. Adapting ATMs for Blind UsersBank Albilad enhanced its ATM network to support visually impaired users by integrating tactile keypads and voice-guided instructions, providing a safer and more inclusive banking experience.

| 1. Supporting Cancer PatientsBank Albilad donated a fully equipped ambulance to the Tahoor Charity Association for Cancer Patient Support, benefiting over 1,000 individuals in need of urgent medical care.
| 2. Supporting Patients in NeedIn collaboration with the Patients' Friends Committee in Riyadh, the Bank provided essential medical equipment to assist patients facing financial hardship.
| 3. Supporting Al-Ta'akhi Association for Elderly CareAs part of its social responsibility efforts, Bank Albilad donated a fully equipped ambulance to the Al-Ta'akhi Association, benefiting more than 88 elderly individuals.
| 4. Supporting the Health Endowment Fund – Ministry of HealthBank Albilad donated SAR 6.5 million to upgrade and develop the Healthcare Center in Al-Falah District, Riyadh. This initiative transformed the center into a modern facility offering comprehensive healthcare services, in collaboration with the Health Endowment Fund.
| 5. Support for the Autism Excellence CenterThe Bank contributed SAR 280 million to support the establishment of the Autism Excellence Center. The initiative aims to develop national expertise, promote autism research, and support specialized studies in the Kingdom.
| 6. Annual Blood Donation CampaignsBank Albilad organizes blood donation campaigns annually across several regions, in cooperation with national health campaigns and blood banks. These efforts have contributed to saving the lives of more than 1,500 patients.
| 7. “Muafaa" Medical Device ProgramThrough its “Muafaa" program, Bank Albilad provides medical devices to patients in need. So far, the initiative has benefited 186 individuals in collaboration with various charitable organizations.
| 8. Supporting Rheumatism TreatmentUnder the “Albilad Initiative" program and in partnership with the Ministry of Health and the Health Endowment Fund, the Bank supported treatment for 591 patients suffering from rheumatic diseases.
| 9. Support for the Gastroenterology Center – Al-Rass HospitalBank Albilad funded the development of the Gastroenterology Center at Al-Rass General Hospital, which serves six hospitals, 109 health centers, and 250 villages.
| 10. Support for World Multiple Sclerosis Day ActivitiesBank Albilad participated in and supported awareness events for World MS Day in collaboration with the Saed Association. These efforts aim to support individuals affected by multiple sclerosis and raise awareness of this neurological disorder.
